How the meter works
What counts as a check, and what does not
- One check, one credit
- A file, an address or a sample all cost the same 1 credit. The cost is shown before the check runs and the balance updates after it.
- Nothing is charged twice
- A check that does not complete is not billed. A connection that has to be retried moves rather than spending the credit.
- No card for the free tier
- The first 12 checks need no account and no payment details. Registration is a work email, and it exists to attach the downloadable write-up to someone.
- Nothing is retained
- What you submit to the evaluation panel is not kept once the check returns. The extension itself prepares only the information the check requires, rather than your screen or your browsing session.
- Rollout is not metered per seat
- Deployment across managed devices is metered per check or covered by a committed annual envelope, with central admin reporting and local site whitelisting included.
- The verdict is never gated
- Every tier sees the verdict, what was examined and the stages the check ran through. Only the downloadable write-up asks for an account.
