Canva Emerges as an AI Traffic Powerhouse

Canva’s web traffic shows remarkable scale in the rapidly expanding AI tools market. Over the latest 12-month period, the design platform averaged approximately 875 million web visits per month, demonstrating sustained global engagement rather than dependence on occasional traffic spikes.
The platform reached a new milestone in March 2026, recording 1.02 billion visits in a single month. Across the full year, Canva generated approximately 10.5 billion web visits, establishing it as one of the most heavily used AI-enabled platforms globally.
The numbers become even more significant when compared with generative AI competitors. According to the study, Canva attracted more annual web traffic than every AI chatbot except ChatGPT, highlighting how AI adoption is expanding well beyond conversational assistants.
Canva’s strength comes from integrating AI directly into everyday creative workflows from presentations and social media content to image generation, design automation and business communications.
Canva demonstrates an important shift in the AI market: the biggest opportunity may not belong exclusively to standalone AI models, but to platforms that embed AI into tasks millions of people already perform.
Its 10.5 billion annual visits illustrate how established workflow platforms can convert AI capabilities into massive recurring usage. As AI becomes increasingly invisible within applications, workflow ownership, user experience and distribution could become as important as model performance itself.
